Greetings: I've always believed that LAU would be a space for asking & answering such questions. The mail-list title refers simply to Linux audio users, not even necessarily Linux audio software users. There's no particular topic restriction that I know of, though of course the most typical perception is that we're about software. The topics you suggest should be welcome here, IMO.
