Oyvind, I am using the HDSP 9652 under Alsa and Jack. Depending on how you want to solve your problems I could probably help in different ways. As background, I'm using RH 7.3 and the PlanetCCRMA flow. At one point we required a special patch to allow alsaconf to even find the device. I think that patch is now in Alsa CVS, but I do not know for sure. FYI - the internal mixer in the HDSP 9652 is currently disabled, so it always outputs at full volume. Make sure you have control over your speaker or headphone volume. I wouldn't want you to hurt your ears as I hurt mine. (As an aside, there could be legal liabilities to supplying drivers that allow people to get hurt, independent of what the package disclaimers says about using at your own risk.) Let me know how I can help.
