What do you want to acheieve?

gdam is very advanced (supports beat matching and multiple sound cards).
terminatorX is excellent and now has (working) jack support in cvs.
alsaplayer is a reasonable sampler (with playlist).

There are a few fx/synths that can be used as fx racks too.

A couple of us are currently working on a new app which aims to provide
a DJ(like) mixer for any jack app.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/jackeq

It's feasible that the code could be extended to support beat matching.
Just need some time and testers/developers.

Being on stage with the band in front of crowds shouting, "Get off! No!
We want normal music!", I think that was more like acting than anything
I've ever done.
