Also note that the flat 4pin CDROM style spdif connector is not
electrically compatible with the RCA/cinch SPDIF format as used by hifi
cdplayers and externally on soundcards, the data is the same (AFAIK), but
the voltages are different.

The cdrom spdif connector on soundcards looks like the one on the back of
the cdrom and will be inside the case.
