request help

hi, do you guys still alive? i am sorry to bore you
but i do search on google time by time without result
so i came to request your help

myself:
    python programmer for live,  and lua/php/js/etc
    know little of c

mytarget:
    i want to learn asm, not because i feel cool or what, just because
after so many years coding on script language, i want to go to lower
level to know how computer really works
    and i start learning programming from a 6502 based device with
qwer keypad, so i has intersting of small device with keyboard, then i
bought a device named nanonote, its a opensource hardware , so i know
its cpu is mips compatible , i decide to learn mips assemble for this
device, but i found less documents about  using asm on mips device
with linux operate system,

    do you guys have any documents or helps?
    any  can help
