If you have different SKUs or similar which need different ath11k board files being more specific like "fairphone-5-eu" and "fairphone-5-us" is one option. I recommend always setting qcom,ath11k-calibration-variant in DTS if you can. Back in the day I have tried to push for the firmware team to improve the board file selection but no success.
