The region used by the mdss is not mapped by the DPU (or MDP5). This caused some confusion with DPU code trying to write to the non-mapped or incorrect memory areas before we ended up with Jonathan fixing the code in 544d8b96150d ("drm/msm/dpu: update UBWC config for sm8150 and sm8250").
