I also tried booting with an initrd passed to the kexec kernel just to make sure, and it does not change much. On the other hand, adding memblock=debug to the kernel command line made me notice that the device tree is not loaded at the same address on the cold boot (where it is at 0x1e00000) and on the kexec boot (on which it seems to be loaded at 0x379a000), so this might be something.
