In fact, it's not clear that the codepage is actually used.

	warthog>git grep '[.>]codepage'
	fs/fat/inode.c: opts->codepage = fat_default_codepage;
	fs/fat/inode.c:                 opts->codepage = option;
	fs/fat/inode.c: sprintf(buf, "cp%d", sbi->options.codepage);
