apache logging issue

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,
I have the following problem. I run an apache server with approx 450
virtual hosts, from which 182 have separate access and error logs. I
recently noticed that from these 182 virtual hosts, 61 have absolutely
empty log files, i.e. logging does not work for them.
I checked the main log files for entries for these vhosts, but the
information is not logged there too.
Currently, the only idea which I have on my mind that apache has
exceeded the limit for opened file handles, but on the other hand, I
though that linux has much higher limit for opened file handles than
256, right?

Any ideas / suggestions / solutions / etc. on the matter are welcome.

Thank you for your time.
