Yes. Do the following:

1) Use the command grub-md5-crypt. It will ask for a
password. Type it. Retype it.

2) It will print a md5 version of your password. Very
secure. Now, add this line to /boot/grub/grub.conf:

password --md5 PASSWORD_GIVE_BY_GRUB_MD5_CRYPT

3) Make sure that only root can read and write to grub.conf.
