I have read in the laptop opensuse forum a problem like this but in a Dell laptop. http://forums.opensuse.org/hardware/laptop/434051-continuous-high-fan-speed.html I think they have changed the BIOS without notice. Moreover, HP sells this laptop with SuSE Linux preinstalled. They must know the answer to this problem.
