How? Is there a how-to or some documentation?

Sorry, but I'm very newbie in ACPI. I've downloaded a few papers, but
I can't find how to evaluate ACPI methods nor how to access generic
thermal code (I only saw static functions on thermal code). I really
dont know where look for..
