The drm_get_acpi_edid() helper is for drivers that would prefer to get the EDID from ACPI instead of from the panel. Earlier versions of this series were aimed at using this in amdgpu and nouveau. This version does NOT update amdgpu as the change will require a larger overhaul to use struct drm_edid.
