Please attach the acpidump, and dmesg output there.

please do the following test,
#dmesg -c
#echo 0x04 > /sys/module/acpi/parameters/debug_layer
#echo 0x8800001f > /sys/module/acpi/parameters/debug_level
plug/unuplug the ac cable
and attach the dmesg output after this test.

For 2.6.23.1, please make sure ACPI_PROC_EVENTS is set.
