Hello. I've been having sound issues with a toshiba p105/sp921 and previous to kernel 2.6.22.9 was released, I had to use a custom DSDT.aml file fixed by me. In Mandriva 2008.0 the way I had sound was using "acpi_osi=!Linux" in kernel command line at boot time and in openSuSE 10.3 I used the same way to get sound. On Ubuntu 7.10 this hack seems not to work although I've not tried it personally (this seems a flag problem I guess).
