Thanks for the quick response :-)
The kernel we are using is even older than 2.6.31, but the problem is that part of the driver is binary-only and precompiled only for x86.
We want to compile it for the architectures we are using(ARMv5 and MIPS).

support for 11c11040 agere modem drivers has ceded since krnels >=
2.6.31 or 2.6.32.  There have been no success reports.  But if you are up to a challenge, I do not know who you can contact but maybe Marv can help you in your quest.
