Felipe,

The broadcom network cards are (if I remember accuratel) supported
under Ubuntu Linux.   You can download a Ubuntu CD image
(Ubuntu-SomeVersion.iso) and burn it to a CD.  It can be used to boot
your PC, with a following option to either Install or just Test.  In
the Test mode, if will try to CONNECT to the internet through your
Broadcom Gigabit card.
