Lazaro, THanks. I've already sent Will a package with the updates. The core problem is that under Ubuntu 4.1 with 3.5.n series kernels, there is a a new compile problem, involving a "serialP" call. My 5 yr old desktop hardware would not in a first test run under Ubuntu 4.1. Thus there is no may I can work on a code fix.
