Carrier check = no
should be in the chat-isp file.
The defaults may need an edit too, taking out the default:
abort on (NO CARRIER)

If scanModem has not been run on the host PC, it should.
SM56 modems can have a variety of chipsets and only one is supported
by the slamr driver.
