Patches, Several on this List are using these drivers without problems. There are particular PC hardware for which your type of problems occurs. Sadly, further troubleshooting is beyond our capabilities because of the major Closed Source component of the software. While a little more expensive, the best route around modem problems is to purchase a Controller Chipset modem. They use Open Source Linux drivers and are typically problem free. Read the DOCs for details.
