Hi all,
I would like to know if usb linmodems are still supported.

While compiling I saw slusb is no more present and only slamr exists,
and makefile file into drivers dir states
"# slusb support ends at 2.6.24"

But I saw an usb patch for usb on x64 machine about 2.9.11 version....!
cfr: http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/smartlink/?C=M;O=A

What I am trying to do is:
I am trying to see if there is any chance to have working this one:

Bus 004 Device 002: ID 0483:7554 SGS Thomson Microelectronics 56k SoftModem

I succeded in compiling
slmodem-2.9.11-20100718
on opensuse 11.2, kernel 2.6.31.14-0.2-default.

I only need usb support, because my apparate doesn't have any pci/serial
plug (it is a pcengines-geodis apparate)

Thanks in advance,

Andrea
