Jeff,

Following the directions below is still OK.  The hsfmodem packages
have compiling capability, used if there is not a kernel-version match
Just choose the most recent hsfmodem*.deb.zip package or the generic
package from the prior download page and all should work.

 Under Linux unpack with:
 $ unzip hsfmodem*.zip
 Then install with:
 $ sudo dpkg -i hsfmodem*.deb
 Subsequently, the modem should be found with
 $ sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf
 Edit in your personal information with:
 $ sudo gedit /etc/wvdial.conf
 and try dialing out with:
 $ sudo wvdial.
 See DOCs/Testing.txt  for details.
