Osama,

It would be nice if you got a newer scanModem.gz from the LinModems
Resource Page. In your case, scanModem has detected that your modem
is an 11c11040 modem :)

 scanModem update of:  2008_08_26

However, since your CPU is x86_64 (64 bit machine) it has no chance of
working :(
If you install 32 bit linux, then you could get the drivers to
communicate with the modem.

CPU=x86_64,
Linux version 2.6.32-24-generic (buildd@yellow) (gcc version 4.4.3
(Ubuntu 4.4.3-4ubuntu5) ) #38-Ubuntu SMP Mon Jul 5 09:20:59 UTC 2010
 scanModem update of:  2008_08_26

So if you want to make use of the modem, install 32 bit version and
then also get newer scanModem and you will see nicer directions to
make use of the drivers for the 11c11040 modem.

Regards,

Antonio
