Marv, Ian said in his original email that he had run an update and had
the latest kernel. But as you can see, he's not using it yet.

Ian, you need to tell your system to use the latest kernel you have
installed. I don't know the details of CentOS, so I don't know if you
have lilo or grub. If lilo, edit /etc/lilo.conf and run lilo; if you
have grub, then edit /etc/grub/menu.lst and run grub-install.
