Re: wvdial doesn't detect agrmodem 11c1:048c

Robin,

The agrmodem, agrserial are there. dmesg shows that agrsm modem is
loaded. The other thing I can think of, is have you booted with

acpi=off

parameter?
And when trying to connect/dialout open up another terminal shell or
tab and type

# tail -f /var/log/messages

Also, Hugo was very helpful when I could not make the 11c1:0620 agrsm
modem work, when wvdialconf did not find the /dev/modem or
/dev/ttyAGR3 modem port, he suggested I try the following wvdial.conf
file attached here so you can try it when you have a chance:

[Dialer Defaults]
 Modem = /dev/modem
 Baud = 57600
 Init1 = ATZ
 Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2
 Init3 =
 Area Code =
 Phone = PHONE_NO_GOES_HERE
 Username =YOUR_USERNAME_GOES_HERE
 Password =**********
 Ask Password = 0
 Dial Command = ATDT
 Stupid Mode = 1
 Compuserve = 0
 Force Address =
 Idle Seconds = 300
 DialMessage1 =
 DialMessage2 =
 ISDN = 0
 Auto DNS = 1

Try the above advice and maybe? it may work?

Regards,

Antonio
