pctel-0.9.7-9-rht-10 and karmic koala 2.6.31-15-generic

hi,

i am expieriencing trouble getting a pctel chipset modem to run under the system stated above.

the make.log says

everything looks fine as far here

but there does not appear any symlink or device, efax cant find anything.

by the way, i just need the modem for sending and receiving faxes.

Unpack under Linux with:
tar zxf pctel*.tar.gz
and read instuctions therein.

The base of the UDEV device file system is: /dev/.udev


is there already any expierience in using this modem with this os?
