After down load from
http://packages.ubuntu.com/intrepid/i386/libasound2/download
http://packages.ubuntu.com/intrepid/i386/libasound2-dev/download
both packages can be installed with:
$ sudo dpkg -i libasound*.deb

Thereafter, there should be success with:
$ sudo slmodemd -c SPAIN --alsa hw:0,6
