Unfortunately, support  has not been cofirned beyond the 2.6.27 kernels as yet.
You can likely install such an older kernel on your System.

The http://linux.zsolttech.com/linmodem/agrsm/Testing/  has the
dkms-agrsm-2.1.80-9mdv2009.0.i586.rpm
to use under that kernel.  Separately,I'll try to send you a more
recent -10mdv package

Please send any question to the List, not me directly. Other Lst
members have more experience with this modem
