Then the modem should be detected if you run: $ sudo wvdialconf If so, a /etc/wvdial.conf should be written. Edit it using: $ sudo gedit /etc/wvdial.conf removing the symbols: < > ; and entering your personal information. See the wvdial.txt for details.
