Alberto,

You downloaded:

2.6.27-7-generic
hsfmodem_7.80.02.04full_k2.6.27_7_generic_ubuntu_i386.deb.zip 1.3M
3a84678393c4a8ba4436f1d2d6c89ed3

The file:

2.6.27-7-generic	hsfmodem_7.80.02.04full_k2.6.27_7_generic_ubuntu_i386.deb.zip	1.3M
	3a84678393c4a8ba4436f1d2d6c89ed3

is the one that you need and according to you you have downloaded.
There exists another file:

2.6.27-7-server	hsfmodem_7.80.02.04full_k2.6.27_7_server_ubuntu_i386.deb.zip	1.3M
	2984f9b497b85d99a7a5fa3350d21ba2

But that one is the one that you don't need. Don't worry about little
details run the commands, and let us know(write to list also
(discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx) not only me) and we can try to guide you as
best we can.

Please follow advice previously given:

 From  http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hsf/full/downloads-ubuntu-x86.php
 download hsfmodem-7.80.02.02full_k2.6.27_7_generic_ubuntu_i386.deb.zip
 Under Linux unpack with:
 $ unzip hsfmodem*.zip
 Then install with:
 $ sudo dpkg -i hsfmodem*.deb
 Subsequently, the modem should be found with
 $ sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf
 Edit in your personal information with:
 $ sudo gedit /etc/wvdial.conf
 and try dialing out with:
 $ sudo wvdial.
 See DOCs/Testing.txt  for details.

 Read DOCs/Conexant.txt

Regards,

Antonio
