Tomasz & Jacqueline,

What happens if you edit /etc/wvdial.conf by itself and manually add
your username, phone number and point to /dev/ttySM0. I have a modem
that wvdial does not find, but I can dialout with it using /dev/modem
a symbolic link. Why don't you try it out and report back?

If that fails, you can try to change the modem slots to another slot
if you have slots readily available.

Regards,

Antonio
