2.6.30 from kernel.org. pctel does not compile because of include/asm/mach-default directory could not be found

Compiled kernel 2.6.30 from kernel.org on Fedora 10, but build fails
because mach-default directory.

 Unpack under Linux with:
    tar zxf pctel*.tar.gz
 and read instuctions therein.
  Read DOCs/Pctel.txt and Modem/DOCs/YourSystem.txt for follow through guidance.

What could I do to get this working with kernel 2.6.30?
