Yes, but I can still try out some drivers to see if one actually works
and does not cause a kernel panic.

Actually I have only tried on Slax 6.1.1 with kernel 2.6.27.8 and not
on Fedora with about kernel 2.6.27.21 or so, but I don't try there it
is an x86_64 machine which is known not to work.
