Agere Sv92 now working

Hello,
I finally got my Agere sv92 working.
I was expecting it to report that a link was created when the drivers 
where loaded it doesn't do that
and for some reason Wvdial also doesn't report it.  To get the modem 
working  i just enter  /dev/ttyAGS3 in Gnome-ppp and connect.
