First complete compiling suuport by installing packages for libc6-dev,
 linux-headers-2.6.27-7 and   linux-headers-2.6.27-7-server.

Then from http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/ltmodem/kernel-2.6/martian/
get the martian-full-20080625.tar.gz for service of DSP modem
Communication controller: Agere Systems 56k WinModem "
CLASS=0780
PCIDEV=11c1:0440

Note that the software doesnot support service of multiple winmodems on one PC.
For multiple installations, the mode expensive Controller Chipset
family of modems is required.
