martian_modem on Thinkpad T21

Hello,
i tried, to use the Xircom MiniPCI modem. I used some different martian-modem
packages (20071011,200800617,20080625) and Linux kernel
versions(2.6.22,2.6.25,2.6.27), but nothing works. That MiniPCI
Ethernet/modem card runs on a other T21 with kernel 2.4.18 and
martian-modem-20061203 without problems.
I can compile the package and start martian_modem, but wvdial can not find a
modem device on /dev/ttySM0. Can anybody help me?
Thanks
rudi

Sorry, no modem was detected! Is it in use by another program?
Did you configure it properly with setserial?

Please read the FAQ at http://open.nit.ca/wiki/?WvDial

If you still have problems, send mail to <wvdial-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx>.
