Nonni, On your SuSE system, the modem should be activated by: $ su root # slmodemd -c CANADA --alsa modem:1 Leave it running during modem usage. Please send us the Kinternet configuation file, which should be at /etc/wvdial.conf replacing the Password with the XXXX You can also do in another console or TAB # wvdialconf wvtest which should write wvtest . Edit it with: # gedit wvtest putting in your personnel info, deleting symbols ; < > and adding a line: Carrier Check = no Then trial a dialout with: # wvdial --config wvtest Report back, MarvS On Wed, Mar 4, 2009 at 12:14 AM, Nonni Jonsson <nonnijonsson@xxxxxxxx> wrote: > Hello There > > I think that I have the modem installed now.
