Guarav, With CPU=i686, Linux version 2.6.27-7-generic Please try to detect the modem with: $ sudo wvdialconf If the modem is detected, enter your dialout information with: $ sudo gedit /etc/wvdial.conf removing the ; < > symbols Before dialing out all COMM channels except "lo" must be closed.
