Phillipe, Please SUBSCRIBE to the List at www.linmodems.org , so in the future forwarding to this List doesnot have to be manually approved. Fax is not implemented in the Martian package. Alexei has updated the older ltmodem + ltserial pair to enable fax. But a compile I just tested under 2.6.27-9-generic failed (see below). So a further update is needed. The compile is OK under 2.6.24-21-generic So you could install the older linux-image and linux-headers packages for 2.6.24-21-generic and test thereunder MarvS ------------ /usr/src/modules/ltmodem$ make modules make -C /lib/modules/2.6.27-9-generic/build M="/usr/src/modules/ltmodem" modules make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.27-9-generic' CC [M] /usr/src/modules/ltmodem/v8250.o /usr/src/modules/ltmodem/v8250.c: In function 'receive_chars': /usr/src/modules/ltmodem/v8250.c:181: error: 'struct uart_info' has no member named 'tty' make[2]: *** [/usr/src/modules/ltmodem/v8250.o] Error 1 make[1]: *** [_module_/usr/src/modules/ltmodem] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.27-9-generic' make: *** [modules] Error 2 Alexei, to do the cross compile below , I did the minor Makefile edit to: ifndef KERNEL_VER KRELEASE = $(shell uname -r) KBUILD_DIR = /lib/modules/$(KRELEASE)/build else KBUILD_DIR = /lib/modules/$(KERNEL_VER)/build endif /usr/src/modules/ltmodem$ make modules KERNEL_VER=2.6.24-21-generic make -C /lib/modules/2.6.24-21-generic/build M="/usr/src/modules/ltmodem" modules make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.24-21-generic' CC [M] /usr/src/modules/ltmodem/v8250.o CC [M] /usr/src/modules/ltmodem/ltdrv.o /usr/src/modules/ltmodem/ltdrv.c: In function 'work_func': /usr/src/modules/ltmodem/ltdrv.c:148: warning: unused variable 'ltdev' CC [M] /usr/src/modules/ltmodem/lib.o LD [M] /usr/src/modules/ltmodem/ltmodem.o CC [M] /usr/src/modules/ltmodem/ungrab-serial.o Building modules, stage 2.
