Jose,

the no dialtone issue has to do with other things.  If you pick up the
phone, do you hear dialtone, if you do, then proceed to change the
init parameters in wvdial.conf

From
Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0

to

Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 X3 &C1 &D2 +MS=34 or
Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 X3 &C1 &D2 +MS=90

Try that and report back.
