Under Linux:
$ tar zxf slamr*.tar.gz
$ cd slamr-2.6.27-7-generic
Look around
$ ls
Run the
$ sudo ./setup
Read the wvdial.txt The edit your dialout information with:
$ sudo gedit /etc/wvdial.conf
Afterwards change the default country from USA to INDIA using:
$ sudo gedit /etc/default/sl-modem-daemon
Then
$ sudo /etc/init.d/sl-modem-daemon restart
and try a dialout with
$ sudo wvdial
