Carlos,

Setserial is not appropriate to Winmodems such as Intel537
After loading the driver:
$ sudo modprobe Intel537
set a symbolic link
$ sudo ln -s /dev/537  /dev/modem

Then try to detect the modem with
$ sudo wvdialconf  /etc/wvdial.conf

If detected, remove the ; <> symbols and replace with your personal information
$ sudo  gedit /etc/wvdial.conf

Then try to dial out with
$ sudo wvdial
