Hi Thomas, If you do not have the ALSA modules available in /usr/src/linux, you can build them from the ALSA source available at http://alsa-project.org/ Obtain the alsa-driver 1.0.18RC3 tarball. Extract it, and open a terminal in that directory. (Remember to edit the hda_codec.c file in /alsa-kernel/pci/hda/) Issue './configure --with-cards=hda-intel' followed by 'make' to build the drivers. If you want to back up the existing drivers, this would be the time to do so... You can make a tarball of /lib/modules if you wish. To install the newly built drivers, issue 'sudo make install' within the source folder for the drivers you just built. Reboot, and 'cat /proc/asound/version' should report 1.0.18RC3. Best, Bjorn. He can give you much better advice with this type of modem. There is new code out, maybe you can try that out? > > http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/ltmodem/11c11040/agrsm-20080808-ALSA18.tar.bz2 > > Hope this helps in some way. > > Antonio > > --- On Tue, 10/7/08, M. und Th.
