Hi,

since "sudo hsfconfig -d" does reload the driver, it is possible that it will fix the problem until the next reboot like re-installing the driver. If it's a good workaround for your setup, you can issue these commands instead:

---
sudo hsfstop
sudo hsfconfig -i
---

They will reload the driver and it will take less execution time than generating a whole dump.

Please send the dump if you want a permanent fix. This information will help us determine what's going on.

Hi,

Alex should send to support@xxxxxxxxxxxx the file generated by the 'sudo hsfconfig --dumpdiag' command in a shell. He should use that command before he reinstalls the driver to solve the problem until the next reboot. This information might help us locate the exact source of the problem.

Hi
I've installed the driver for my modem under ubuntu8.04 k 2.6.24-19 and it works fine, but I have the problem of that after every restart without the phone cable plugged in the modem is not recognized and I must reinstall the driver, I need some help: Does I must install the driver in an special way other than sudo dpkg -i hsf*.deb?? How I can wake up my modem after plug in
my phone cable??
The modem works fine after reinstallation of the driver but it is annoying
to install it every time I turn on my computer (I must often turn it on
without the phone cable because of lighting storms).

Any suggestion are welcome.
Alex
