Rocky,

The agrsm_howto,txt  suggests steps to try for modems which are not
recognizded in the wvdialconf test.

Don't bother reinstalling Ubuntu when something doesn't work.
It is MUCH MORE robust than Microsoft.  Kernels can just be upgraded.
