That very strange - shouldn't Ubuntu's linux-source package exactly match the precompiled kernel? This doesn't seem to be a compilation problem here as exactly the same happens with Marvin's precompiled module. But if this module were a different version from the original's it wouldn't work with the precompiled Ubuntu kernel, would it? I'm really confused about this...
