Tom,

For support under your x86_64 System
from http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hsf/full/downloads.php  get the
hsfmodem-7.68.00.12x86_64full.tar.gz
unpack under Linux with:
$ tar zxf hsf*.tar.gz
and follow the instructions in the new hsfmodem-7.68.00.12x86_64full folder

You could also install a 32 bit linux-image package, matching
KernelVersion with one of the packages on
http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hsf/full/downloads-ubuntu-x86.php,
which have precompiled drivers.

below are more typical Bioler Plate instructions. The most expert help
for Linuxant software is through "Support (Jonathan)"
<support@xxxxxxxxxxxx>.  But first
run the
$ sudo hsfconfig --diagnose
and send him the output written to the /tmp/ folder

 download hsfmodem-7.68.00.12full_k2.6.24_16_generic_ubuntu_i386.deb.zip
 Under Linux unpack with:
 $ unzip hsfmodem*.zip
 Then install with:
 $ sudo dpkg -i hsfmodem*.deb
 Subsequently, the modem should be found with
 $ sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf
 Edit in your personal information with:
 $ sudo gedit /etc/wvdial.conf
 and try dialing out with:
 $ sudo wvdial.
 See DOCs/Testing.txt  for details.
