Mohamad 14f1:1085 could be either a HSF or HCF Conexant modem, because of ambiguous use of the PCI ID by modem assemblers. First try the hcflinodem package. If the installation aborts, then use the hsfmodem package. Read Conexant.txt for details and Modem/YourSystem.txt for follow through guidance. From http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hcf/full/downloads-ubuntu-x86.php download hcflinmodem-7.68.00.07full_k2.6.24_16_generic_ubuntu_i386.deb.zip Under Linux unpack with: $ unzip hsfmodem*.zip Then install with: $ sudo dpkg -i hcf*.deb Subsequently, the modem should be found with $ sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf Edit in your personal information with: $ sudo gedit /etc/wvdial.conf and try dialing out with: $ sudo wvdial. See Testing.txt for details. MarvS On Mon, May 26, 2008 at 5:37 PM, Mohamad Ali Taebi <taebi.ali@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > >
