Fatma, Follow: Download from http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/smartlink/ the package SLMODEMD.gcc4.1.tar.gz having a compiled slmodemd. Unpack under Linux with: $ tar zxf SLMODEMD.gcc4.1.tar.gz and read instructions therein. But briefly, the modem is setup with command: slmodemd -c YOUR_COUNTRY --alsa modem:1 reporting dynamic creation of ports: /dev/ttySL0 --> /dev/pts/N , with N some number Read Smartlink.txt and Modem/YourSystem.txt for follow through guidance. Don't worry about the disagreement between SIL2f and SIL27. It is trivial. All the diagositics are fine for fedora kernel 2.6.23.1-42.fc8, with support through the slmodemd utility + driver snd-intel8x0m When you have installed the slmodemd from the SLMODEMD.gcc4.1.tar.gz package, run # slmodemd --countrylist to check for TUNISIA support. Inform us if you have of problems. MarvS On Thu, Apr 10, 2008 at 5:21 AM, fatma sarhan <fatma.sarhan@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Good morning Sir, > > Could you help me to find the convenient linmodem.
